Trump says he'll offset the tariff price increases by lowering taxes. But we all know he'll lower taxes more for the rich. The thing is, tariffs are essentially a consumption tax and are paid by WORKING PEOPLE buying goods. So…when the dust settles on all this, guess who will suffer most?
The billionaires will win, initially. Trump will justify their tax cuts by claiming the tariffs are taxes on other countries (their actually paid by us). Eventually, when the masses can't buy the what the rich sell, they will suffer, but Trump is a transactional guy. He'll benefit then die.
