Well they have to file flight plans and they have to transit from Russian airspace into European airspace so the Europeans could deny landing permission to them unless they complied. It’s quite common for countries to deny airlines access for other reasons so this doesn’t seem such a leap.

Spent two weeks in New York from late September. I’m going be controversial. It’s overrated. The smell of urine and weed absolutely everywhere you walk, homelessness, expensive, dirty, tipping culture. It has an awful lot to see and do and much that is great but it really isn’t a patch on London.
