Talk to them. It's not just the politicians. There are still millions and millions who think this is better. And so we must accept we are the minority. We who believe in rule of law, true liberty, & rational thought, are the outliers.

A nation is not a static entity, it is what its people say it is. In November 2024 150 million Americans stated they either wanted this or could care less. The America we fought for is not the one 150 million Americans want now.

Yes and... We need massive constitutional reform. The original document tried to restrict and rein in the power any 1 person could have. Successive generations of American voters could not handle that responsibility. Now it needs to be baked in, immutable in the very structure of government.

More likely, they will use this and similar for 2 purposes: (1) scare tactics against orgs researching climate change, (2) political theater for their right wing sheep followers. #1 is scary because even if it doesn't lead to prosecution, just the criminal investigation can be stifling
Chris Gauthier (@chrisreconnect.bsky.social) reply parent
Moreover, since DoJ is persecuting they will need to prove that climate change is fraudulent. If they don't, they risk a US court ruling that climate change is real. The dominos of such a ruling would be catastrophic for the radical right.
