In these awful times for trans people I've found great comfort in the observation of a friend in her 40s who recently transitioned that 'my female friends immediately embraced me as one of their own and my male friends just became a little more gentle with me.'
People who know or have met him have reported that he is a genuinEly stupid with no intellectual curiosity at all.
So true - I'm annoyed this week as it was a stupid pass and as usual a lack of ambition when we got down to the last minute but me being upset doesnt change the result so onwards :)

Sounds like people with only a passing understanding of pseudonymisation. Just removing PI does not make it anonymous as the text may refer to some specific detail which can be used to identify them. And how are they doing that before processing in a LLM without reading them. Half an answer.

Beyond personal safety concerns, what the US is doing is abhorrent, and we all know it's going to get worse, and travelling there helps fund that. I'd advocate boycotting US goods and travel just on the principle of not supporting concentration camps. Basically - "You wouldn't go to Nazi Germany".
If it is somewhere blue and you clear customs in Dublin or Canada the risk is lower. Conversely an openly gay friend of mine and his partner just travelled through San Diego to Dallas to Miami with no issues.
