I also avoid it usually, but this was a 'meet some new people on the team' type thing so I had to invoke my "Everybody gets to see what I look like once" rule
The #1 worst thing abut having to be on camera for meetings is that I always have to try so hard not to yawn (because I'm tired) and people take yawning so personally 😭 But then I end up doing really strange things with my face trying to suppress it, so I can't win
I also need to be perceived at both the meetings. Will I have any life force left by the end of the day? Doubt
I have two meetings this afternoon (including one with a client, and I never have client-facing meetings usually) and a parcel is due to arrive within the exact same timeframe, so that's good
