I’m currently more upset by the death of a character in the book I’m reading than I have been by the actual deaths of real people I personally knew. I’m not entirely certain if that’s a poor reflection upon me or upon them… but I have my suspicions.

To be clear, I wasn’t alone. Her dad & brothers were helpful. So was LOTS of therapy. & group therapy. & parents of suicidal teens classes. & hospitalizations. &… But she’s doing great now. She’s happy and fulfilled in her career as a teacher, and even has a Masters in social & emotional learning.

My daughter was suicidal for nearly three years. I often used “tiny reasons” like these to help her find a desire to stay alive. Nearly nine years later, she’s happy and healthy, and has been for several years. Hang in there, folks. The world is a better place with you in it.

He’d be unable to dress, feed, or toilet himself. He’d be fed only healthy food he despises, by Drag Queens. The lights would be on 24/7. Make that STROBE lights! The TV would ALWAYS be on MSNBC. Any non-annoying commercials would be drowned out by very LOUD Sesame Street songs. Suffering is GOOD!

YES! I do NOT want him to die. However, a stroke which would cause him to lose the ability to speak & control his limbs would be delightful. He needs to be able to see, to hear, to understand, but not to be able to express his thoughts, feelings, or desires. Decades of frustration would be perfect!

PSA: If you’re protesting today, turn the biometrics on your phone OFF. No facial recognition, no fingerprint, PASSCODE ACCESS ONLY. Law enforcement can make you unlock your phone with those, but they can’t make you use your passcode. That gives you a case in court should they go that route anyway.
