Democracy is good. It requires four elements: earth, water, air, and fire... no, that's not it. I think you get the general idea though. Never could reach the top shelf.

I thought the Republicans had possession right now? Unless they get a turnover, Democrats have to play defense until halftime, right? Now that you mention it, I'm not sure they've been on offense since... Johnson?

I have it on good authority that while smiling had recently been invented, it wasn't yet standard in photographs.

Isn't it even simpler? It's just anger. Anything that can make people mad is a factor. If you look at anger as the fuel used, then it becomes easy to see how ideas, selective examples provoking outrage, technology, and material conditions can all be converted to a commodity.

Getting in on the ground floor. Pivotal country after the fall of Russia, given the land bridge to China. Plus it's fun to say.

Democracy is a conversation. It collapses without people being able to speak and being willing to listen. It's only made possible across millions of people by technology (printing press, radio, tv, the Internet, AI), so when you start to segment people off via technology, you'll end up with conflict

I'd be interested to see how this matches up with views that he is authentic. Asking people if he's honest and trustworthy is a more loaded question than it appears. A lot of his supporters would likely say he lies a lot, but is still honest.

This is a very complicated issue. I recommend we create some sort of large classification model that can determine how closely related the generated and original work are. It can then work as a discriminator, rejecting anything that falls within a certain degree of separation.

Saying LLMs are simple math isn't a negative outlook on their capability, it's saying the possibilities are limitless, with the right inputs.
Chris (@cjf.bsky.social) reply parent
LLMs are just simple math being done on a massive scale. Calling them smart or dumb is just an evaluation of how the model you're talking about was trained and prompted. It really doesn't say anything about the potential.
