It’s not about liking it or not. The data from the study comes from a small population of trans prisoners within the UK prison system. Not representative of the wider community. When it comes to mass shootings, the data is incontrovertible. More cisgender people commit mass murder than trans people.
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
This study is highly disputed and subject to significant debate and critique. But it’s undisputed that the vast majority of mass shootings are conducted by cisgender people. Primarily cisgender men, but cisgender women also commit more mass shooting than trans women. Per capita!
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
About 2% of mass shootings are committed by cisgender women. Less than 0.1% are committed by trans women. Transgender people of any gender are far less likely to commit a mass shooting than cisgender people of any gender. Your hypothesis doesn't hold up against real data.

Very satisfying! A direct protest of the parade would’ve painted us as anti-US military. Having 11 million protesters show up at events all over the country definitely outshined his feeble little parade.

When the next pandemic comes and it's a bird flu pandemic, every dead body will be on the head of Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and I truly hope they're charged with a criminal offense—before they pass on of natural causes—for every needlessly deceased American. This is premeditated evil.

"Just to be clear, Biden should not have run again. And to be even more clear, he failed this country in the most important job that he had. ... And it's not just you and me, but our kids and grandkids and the generations that follow that might have to pay the price for this.' — @BetoORourke

Sorry, but Biden never should have run for a second term. That’s just a fact. They screwed us over. Had there been a primary, good chance Trump wouldn’t be president right now.

You’re failing to understand the point he’s making. He’s not claiming that sex change operations were happening in schools. But MAGA and people on the right were making that claim during the last election cycle. He’s commenting on the fact that they’re not bothering to make up that lie anymore.

It's tough to refer to someone as a criminal if you've given them no due process to determine whether they're a criminal. Like if you get arrested and get a trial and are convicted of 34 felony counts. That's due process. You can call that guy a criminal.

Authority or not, no one is stopping them. The people who have the authority to enforce the laws, aren’t. That alone gives them the authority. Therein lies the problem.

DOGE does exist in the federal government though. Formerly known as USDS. In any event, they’ve still seized control of the Treasury’s payment system. Doesn’t matter what they call themselves. No one is stopping them.

Dude! Maybe you should try anger management. Before Smith’s appointment, the DOJ initiated inquiries, but Smith’s team rapidly expanded the scope by issuing more expansive subpoenas, calling over 55 witnesses to testify before a grand jury, and assembling a larger prosecutorial team. That’s a fact.

“In the fall of 2022…” In other words, November 18, 2022, exactly what I said. How are you this bad at reading comprehension?😂 It started in earnest 24 months after Biden took office, three days after Trump announced his candidacy. This is exactly what the the report states. They dragged their feet!
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
Smith quickly advanced the probes, issuing subpoenas, gathering grand jury testimony, and expanding the team of prosecutors. Jack Smith’s report lacks any explanation of why the DOJ didn’t expedite the investigation, WELL before his appointment, three days after Trump announced his candidacy.
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
Smith quickly advanced the probes, issuing subpoenas, gathering grand jury testimony, and expanding the team of prosecutors. Where was the urgency before then? Why hadn’t the DOJ done all of this well before three days after Trump announced his candidacy? They were taking their time.
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
The report doesn’t state why the investigation began so late. The timeline suggests it started immediately after Trump announced his 2024 presidential campaign on November 15, 2022.
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s true that we knew a lot, well before November of ‘22. Which is why there’s no excuse for the investigation to have not started sooner.
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
Nothing in the report changes the fact that the investigation that led to it didn’t even start until November 18, 2022. This report could have been published two years ago.
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
Again, they didn’t even start investigating until November of ‘22.
coccomotion.bsky.social (@coccomotion.bsky.social) reply parent
Garland didn’t even appoint Jack Smith as special counsel until November 18, 2022. The investigation didn’t even start until almost two years after Biden took office. There’s no question that he dragged his feet. It’s highly likely those 24 months would have made a difference.

Half the country thinks the violent insurrectionists on January 6th 2020 were patriots. It was the rule of law that protected us from that. Don’t assume the side you want to win would prevail in a violent revolution.

The French Revolution ultimately led to widespread suffering for the majority population, ending in Napoleon as Emperor. It’s not a blueprint for social reforms. When you disregard the rule of law, you’re as likely to end up with an authoritarian nightmare as you are any meaningful social change.
