Yup! I love it. I sit at home in my PJs with my ballot and voters pamphlet, (which came in the mail) taking my time, researching candidates and issues. I can take all the time I need. Then the next day I drop my ballot at the city hall drop box, days before the election. It’s so easy!
The State of Oregon has voted entirely by mail for years, it works great and is very secure. I didn’t think the federal government had the power to dictate to the States how they conduct their elections. Least of all by executive order and certainly not by a social media post.
As a former Texas State Rep, let me be clear: LOCKING Rep. Nicole Collier inside the chamber is beyond outrageous. Forcing elected officials to sign “permission slips” & take police escorts to leave? That’s not procedure. That’s some old Jim Crow playbook.
