It doesn't even say what the password requirements (password length, use of numbers, upper/lower case, special characters) are, so I don't even know *why* the passwords I keep trying to choose are unsuitable. A Kafkaesque bundle of 2020s computer shittiness. FFS

This client-side login system is making me want to hit things. My own company's policies are disorganised, poorly thought-out and riddled with cost-saving corner-cutting, but throw a client's own systems into the mix and it's BS multiplied by BS AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH

There’s a certain type of poster that seems to think it’s helpful to stamp out anything hopeful in the name of being realistic about how bad things are. Don’t be that poster. We know how bad things are. But for most of us, hope helps a lot more than your cynicism. Rebellions are built on hope…

...then there's that "radical kindness" that you mention, which is so much more constructive. Your anger can be, instead, the motivation to do positive things and improve the world around you. It's damned hard, and takes a lot of self-awareness and discipline, but I admire the people who show it

This is a beautiful and important thread. I see one type of anger all too often, especially online: a mean, spiteful sort of anger where people lash out blindly because they feel that being wronged in the past is a "get out of jail free card" to be a jerk in the present. Which is, o/c, misguided...

My earphones are an AKG on-ear model that are NC both in wired and wireless mode, but they've been discontinued. They're also nearly worn out at this point, so I'm going to have to start shopping around for replacements, which are likely to be over-ear. Thanks for the warning about the Sonys!

I've found that you can also get some interesting results from using a VPN, depending on where you set your location to. For instance, I've had some Ireland-specific ads in QR episodes, which is pretty cool: Irish is a beautiful-sounding language that I don't usually hear in my day-to-day life!

These "Aviator" coffee beans from Cafeology taste delicious (they're one of my favourites) but damn, they're hard to grind in a hand-cranked coffee mill. It feels like a metaphor somehow: many of the nice things in life take a bit of extra time and effort

Agreed. It was a really solid "book to action movie" effort that was very good at what it set out to do. The only thing I didn't like about it was the change of title to something so generic and forgettable. "All You Need Is Kill" sounds badass! No idea why they did that. But anyway. Fun flick!
