you can pull this trick at basically any time in the past few days and get at least three of them, and i'm pretty sure the like bots while they correlate are usually not the same on each, i think they are mostly different. there are thousands of these
and it's never, ever been this bad bots have been constant, a lot of them are gigantic and just autopost politics or memes or whatever and that's annoying but this is for sure new. the political element is very sinister compared to the innocence of porn bots
i follow What's Hot Classic ie I see most skeets with 12 likes in the first few minutes of them being posted, so these one stick out like a sore thumb but a more sophisticated attacker easily could implement a better like pattern/waiting period to evade. Thousands of them
they often seem to follow trends eg travel, skincare, tv shows whatever. they repeat themselves often and use very similar phrases, but remixed slightly. most concerningly they are pushing explicitly political content as in the examples i gave or eg:
the follower bots interact with and follow each other, but weirdly slowly as if they're trying to avoid detection. eventually the initial shitty posts start attracting posts from other bots, including some that have some legitimacy at least in terms of numbers
they seem to come and go in waves but they always follow the same pattern; account with only a few followers makes a super shitty post, clearly AI generated, and gets 50 likes immediately from other botted accounts. all the likes are bots.
