Thanks Mandy, Gimli would have loved waddling through your flowers. He loved to brush up against them, gently, and to get flowers in his hair. Merida would have barked at the birds, (sorry), lol. She ran a tight ship.

Oh they definitely have different faces. Gimli was Merida's half-uncle. So while related, they didn't really share features. Merida was closer to Ragnar. Her littermate was his father. Sometimes her face comes through 🥲 It's fascinating to look at corgi faces.
On today's #RainbowBridgeRemembranceDay we remembered Gimli and Merida by visiting the same log where we held the photoshoot. So loved and so missed. #CorgiCrew

We took the corgis to the Arboretum today. We are lucky to have such a nice place close to home. This was Siggy's first visit and she had a great time sniffing all the smells. The corgis are now wiped out 😉 #CorgiCrew
She is slowly taking over "her" yard. She found a frog yesterday and chased it around. 😄

Taco's human, she is incredibly protective. Any noise, any bump, she's on the scene. She's learning how to turn that instinct into patrolling the yard lol.
She made it about halfway across the yard before she gave up. I think she will be like Merida and bark at them, but she needs more nerve.
I'm glad they are settling in well. That they are touching body parts is a great sign!

I think it's just one this time. From earlier today, it's a big bunny. 😳 It's such a cutie. The corgis can definitely smell it now that it moved to this spot. Ragnar got real close but didn't spot it. Sending bunny hugs back at ya! 😄

We have at least one baby #bunny in the planter. It has been coming out from the nest, but some giant human keeps checking, and so it has retreated to safety. The corgis suspect something, but we have been keeping them away.

Thank you. He was a wonderful boy. It's been bittersweet. Siggy sat in his spot beside the tree trunk and that brought the tears. He was our first, full of mistakes, but without him we wouldn't have had the 3. ❤️

It is! There was another litter in June? There were 2 babies bouncing around the yard. The planter seems to be a hit with the mama lol It works for us because the babies are safe from the corgis.
It's a little difficult to see, but there's at least one baby in there. I didn't want to get too close. When we returned from our walk, mama bunny was just leaving the yard.
It's not well sheltered. That part of the yard gets shelter from the house. She's dug down into the planter so the greenery gives more shade.
Those have been my girls. They have always wanted to go after them. The boys just follow along. 🤨

Oh no, there are babies in there. I went back to check, the fur was moving. Our yard seems to be the favorite for mama bunnies. She used the planter last year, and the yard a year or two before that.

She was ready to hunt. She was quite displeased. Her hackles went up and she was ready to go. 😠
Somewhere Merida is smiling. We let Siggy out and the mama bunny was in the yard. Siggy scared it away. We suspect the bunny will return, she seems to have made a nest in the planter for the second time this season.
I will say one thing, she's found the right family! 🏃♀️😄 (No, she did not run on the treadmill. No running for her for a few months yet.) #CorgiCrew #ThisGirlRuns
