This sounds like a great idea. And with IKEA you can pay to have them assemble the furniture for you. I'd definitely pay the extra "assembly fee" to have someone come to my house and put my jeans together for me 👍

Whilst no longer living in the UK, and not missing it at all, I've just heard Farage describe illegal migration as a "scourge". Bit rich coming from him. Also, when you close all the legal routes it's very difficult to not be illegal.

Garbage in, garbage out... And let's face it, today we are bombarded by garbage from all directions. Facts, evidence, truth... Less so.

To be honest, when you want to buy something age restricted in a shop, bar etc. you have to provide proof of age.. the internet has always operated outside of this, you simply say "yes, I'm over 18".. seems to me that something more reliable should be enforced.

In my limited experience of court orders, it can sometimes be very difficult to understand the exact meaning of what is written. The Plain English Campaign would be pulling their hair out. As an analytical chemist, ambiguity is a big no.

I was at university in Sheffield in the mid 90's, a few years after water privatisation, and Yorkshire Water were being slated for their poor record on fixing leaks even then. Some things never change.. apart from the salaries of the top brass of course.

Whilst I am opposed to the death penalty for any crime, if you know it exists somewhere then you have to expect the consequences. However, where people are coerced/forced into e.g. trafficking drugs, it does raise issues.

As someone that works with chocolate, there should be a "world no chocolate day" 😉 And a day where the price of chocolate doesn't go up due to shortages. However, I may be forced to try this recipe as it looks pretty good 👍

Yes indeed. No doubt Grangemouth would have been saved if it had been a London based bank 🤔 Though I guess as capacity decreases there is a bigger argument to save something (usually a politician's skin)

Looking at the USA government from abroad, it would almost be hilarious if it wasn't destroying so many lives there and affecting the rest of the world too. How do so many idiots get into positions of power/influence?

Not to mention, with less lethal weapons, the miner's strikes. You'd like to think that since those days, things would have improved, but I wouldn't be sure. Obviously it hasn't in the U.S.

An interesting read, thanks. I used to get sent to work at STMicro in France (2001-2008), measuring their in fab air quality. Amazing environment to work in. Even back then there were worries about Moore's law relating to the physical size limits.
