Crap! I just heard about this and I can't get to Seattle in time.
This apology from Devir is insufficient. There's no way that a game has this many issues before going to print without the problem being systemic to the company. While the game should be recalled, there was no mention of the culture within the company itself, outside of "doing better" and 1/9
We were recently made aware of disturbing and offensive artwork in the new game Ace of Spades by Devir. We have contacted Devir regarding this matter. Fellow hobbyists: we must strive to be better humans. We can’t simply “look the other way” when an issue doesn’t affect us directly.
That's so far out of fucking line, I'm kind of stunned. Then I thought, wait, if they represented Black people this way...And sure enough, got ourselves a glowing-eyed Indian with steer horns. JFC. Devir, this is way beyond "oops". This looks intentional. Leave Natives out of your products.
