Yeah, you absolutely will not be disappointed. There have been a few similar books I've picked up that have been "okay", but this one became my gold standard for what I want from something like this.

As far as derivative works (entirely different conversation) - I'm a fan of 30 years / creators (not the estate/owners) death, whichever comes first. If it's been long enough for kids to grow up on it, it's fair game for public use. The original work is still the creator's for any purposes tho.
Artists indefinitely hold the right to their creation and altering it at any point during their life. The public has zero claim or right to dictate a creatives expression. This is akin to you wanting to paint your house and your neighbors saying "nah, I'm used to it yellow. You're keeping it as is."

Since the HD > UHD conversion is already occuring on the TV, this is just going to professionally clean it up which can only be better. And again, HDR (likely Dolby Vision?) is ♥️ for stuff like Tron, Bladerunner, or Cyberpunk. Crispy.
Color / HDR man. That pop is going to be amazing. Also having recently watched it, I feel the only CG that is going to look bad here already does - the de-aging tech. Everything else I think the 4K will hold up really nicely... That being said, if you're watching on a 4KTV, it'll improve over BD.

Dude, I miss CARS existing. When I had to replace mine last year (12 year old Sonic), there's virtually no American made cars. They're all SUV+. It sucks. Like I haul nothing but myself, maybe 1 passenger, and occasionally a suitcase in the trunk for work. I don't need a house on wheels.
