KYC would absolutely refute this "cant be traced back". By definition, KYC and a unique transaction ID explicitly ties it to the card owner. And this solution also only says "person who has card is X person". 13 year old could take and use card. And its not defeatist to call out bad choices.

Sorry but just encrypting all the things doesn't work. When the SSL requires network trust, and you have the network, most encryption falls apart. The only encryption that works properly under adverse network situations are preshared keys. Thats why the old cryptopunks did keysharing parties.
Part of the problem is if you try to submit a CVE. If they're a "partner", you have to submit TO THE COMPANY. The company, especially if a commercial interest, doesn't want vulnerabilities published. Vulne should go to an independent org.
