Indeed it is. I just lost my husband in May from the autoimmune disorder that ravaged his body for 3.5 years, which stemmed from Long Covid. I have a milder version, which resolved itself into RA, but his finally took out his immune system completely, and he succumbed to an infection in his toe.
I have a couple of favorite mantras. The one I say the most, regardless of what's going on, is: "Life is wonderful, and it's getting better, better, and better." It's been feeling less so, since my husband died, but at least he's no longer in pain, and I'll get through it because I have no choice.
One of the things I miss the most since my husband's death is being able to touch him, whether it's a quick kiss, holding his hand, or giving him a foot massage. I'd give anything to be able to hold him one more time. I so miss you, Marek. ๐๐๐

A high percentage of my writing is either typed into my phone or handwritten in notebooks or on 3x5 cards. My laptop screen is currently on the fritz, so hopefully I'll have it up and functioning soon, but I enjoy the tactile sense of writing via keyboard, and have no plan to outsource that soon.
I disagree, from the standpoint that it all depends upon HOW the writer is using AI. In my case, I use AI primarily for research and outlining, but the actual writing is mine. I've instructed it NOT to use my work to train the LLM. If you're using AI to write for you, you deserve what you get.๐
