This is a good example of something well meaning people need to stop doing. “Trust” in higher ed hasn’t declined. To the extent normal ppl have complaints with it it’s just that it costs too much and conservative complaints aren’t in good faith

I think being clear about what was happening at the time, and not retrospective rationalizations, is part of addressing it. Anyway, they won, nobody’s closing schools in the next pandemic, whether or not that would save lives. Elites in full agreement here.
