I will be forever grateful that it gave us Bart Curlish, and disappointed that we didn't get more.
It's a 90s basketball reference. Pippen was like the second best player for the Chicago Bulls, but was just *slightly* in the shadow of Michael Jordan.
TTW when you hear a podcast host describe Heinrich Himmler as "the Scottie Pippen of Nazism", and just for a second you wonder if some of the younger listeners will understand the reference.

Shout out to my boss, who called me just as I was preparing to log off for the day to ask whether I thought body horror was a suitable movie genre for a second date. I mean, maybe? Depends largely on the date...
I've since watched it again in isolation, and it didn't annoy me as much as it did initially. Shot-for-shot it's a decent film with some very nice moments. Xochitl Gomez is great, and overall it darkly funny - exactly as you'd expect from Raimi. I'll just never *like* it.
That's kind of my feeling as well. It seems like a really odd choice after WandaVision, but I don't suppose it was malicious. It just jars with the end of the series - and as someone who liked Wanda as a character and was hoping for an upward arc after WandaVision, it left me very annoyed.
I'd tend to agree. There's plenty there I enjoyed and a couple I *really* enjoyed. There's some meh in there, but Quantumania felt like the only real flop, and while I personally hated Multiverse of Madness for the decision to push Wanda in that particular direction, I don't think it's a *bad* film.
Okay, now that's interesting. Need to check out more of Mei's stuff, I think.

Same. He is very young (he's the kid of one of my dev colleagues, which makes me feels very old), so there probably is a confidence factor in there. Hopefully he'll get better with time.
We try, but it doesn't seem to do much good. He just seems unable to string a sentence together without trailing off - he did that on this morning's call and had to be prompted to finish what he was saying. Not sure if it's a confidence thing or an actual speech issue.
He's not getting any better. Most people get used to talking on Teams calls and their updates get quicker as a result. This lad...not so much. It's actually painful listening to him ramble on every morning.

Yeah, I have a few like that. I never could write if I had Skunk Anansie on, and I still can't. I'm actually bad with anything that has lyrics that I know by heart, which is quite a few because my brain is a bit like that with lyrics. Once they're in, they stick.
