An excellent actor who never received the recognition he deserved.
Peter Hume (who played "The Stomach" and who sadly passed away many years ago) was a wonderful guy who was also a master piano restorer with a business in upstate New York). A gentle giant of a man, with huge hands and a warm heart. Enjoyed the article, thanks for sharing.

Yes, Marnie is top tier. The challenge for any sort of retrospective on Herrmann is the time constraint. One hour? I would have a very difficult time programming a one hour encapsulation of a career such as his. Hell, even two hours would be tough! So kudos to Matthew Sweet and company.
It was excellent, and I made sure to record it. Great selection of tracks, especially the time he committed to THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, one of my favorite Herrmann scores. Well done.

I just checked and fortunately (or, unfortunately, depending on your viewpoint), the laugh tracks are in these episodes on Hulu. I was hoping they would still be missing!
I'm curious to see if there is still no laugh track on the episodes "Hippie, Hippie, Hooray" and "My Friend Ben" I'll never forget watching the former late one night in 1980 with friends. We were college age and stoned at the time. The pauses where laugh tracks belong turns it into performance art.
