Only notice three flags in Venice. The EU stars. The Italian tricolore. The great Venetian lion. All flown proudly from public buildings and company premises. No mad surreptitious painting of bridges and buildings. Looks good and not in the least threatening.
We originally started filming these because my mate in Italy wanted to experience a cruise on Serenissima. Each episode is couple of hours of calm TV. They’re lovely to have on in the background or to drop off too. #CalmOnTheCut #FloatingNomads

Flags are fine for organisations and sports events. If you want to fly one outside your house fine but if it's there all year round and not just for an England game that's a bit OTT. Painting them on roundabouts and bridges and historic buildings though? Give over...

My forthcoming business class high speed train from Rome to Venice, four hours across Italy, 330 miles, 3hrs 50, guaranteed seat, is about the same price as the high speed peak single from here to London, 55 minutes, 60-odd miles, fat chance of getting a seat.

The main thing about dialogue is to make it plain and understandable so you don't have people thinking 'Why the hell are they talking like that?' And avoid cliche accents which rarely make any sense. Anything that stands in the way of the story needs to go. Linguistic point scoring too.
