I posit that lining up the tan line with the horizon doesn't work because the art is somewhat naturalistic. In the surrealistic realm of primitive conceptual illustation that I tread in I can tell you... that intentionally lining these things up is something I would probably do.
Creepy stuff made even creepier because it was made by a team at a corporation and published in a mainstream comic available everywhere.
Got that one as a kid and loved it. I first found Plastic Man in Feiffer's Great Comic Book Heroes book. Even some of the later Quality issues after Cole left the series are pretty good. Plastic Man & Capt. Marvel/Shazam fit in the DC universe about as well as Bugs Bunny & Woody Woodpecker.
Showing continued loyalty to a guy who would have literally let him hang is a weird Republican disfunction.
The crystalline grid effect by Sal B. is a perfect add on. These days it most likely be done with some kind of computer effect instead of ink lines.

They did him dirty giving him mittens! Rom was a pretty cool comic and I think the first longish run I ever completed bought directly from the newsstand. Wish I kept them!

The chaotic punch that makes the guy's face invisible on impact makes me think this is something that Kirby might have seen and adopted. Though Segar keeps it comedic with Popeye lifting both legs.

Loved Robbins from the getgo. I remember reading GS Invaders #1 at a cub scout meeting age 9. Got even better with Springer inks. Kids were weird then... a lot them didn't like Kirby or Ditko either.

It's a good one. It's odd that they didn't try to add cast beyond Jan because they tried everything else. The closest they got was the Giant-man fan club... which could have at least hatched an intern.
Hank's stories in TAS after the Wasp was added weren't unlike classic Batman & Robin in terms of a lean cast..ok for plot driven stuff. A university setting would have added a lot... scheming co-workers, jealous co-eds... it also would have given Hank something else to care about beyond science.
The negative comments are weird. People leave countries all the time...hating the leadership and direction of a country is a valid reason to leave.

Things definitely aren't normal but there's still slim hope that court rulings will prevail & mid-term elections will turn the tide. Slim.. but possible. MAGA figuring out that international tourism and students avoiding the US comes with a great economic impact might cause a wake up? This summer?

As a bundle these also were likely considered merchandise as opposed to periodicals.... but that's a weird price point.

A Presidential pardon won't keep you out of the Hague.

...so contradictory in that he seemingly (though not definitely) gave up the fight and hid in the past knowing how events would play out while his younger self and the Avengers do what they have to do. It robs the story of some tension by knowing there's been a Steve Rogers here the entire time.
Its unclear which past timeline Steve travels to and lives a life with Peggy. If it's the regular MCU than he (and Peggy) stand by and let tragic events unfold all the while hiding his true identity for decades....and he retroactively was romantically involved with Peggy's (and his) grand niece.
The first Ironman movie is better than the first Cap movie... but Winter Soldier is maybe the best Marvel movie. Ironman's story arc is better.... Cap gets a happy ending that is deserved, but opens up a hornets nest of contradictions for a hero.
