Recently switch from google to duckgo and I gotta say, I missed a normal search engine. Not an ad, google just sucks so much
Still trying to get a more entertaining discover feed but it's noticeably less hostile in general here. Having a smaller user base probably helps
I'm not sure if it's about principle, I'm guessing they can see that ads on twitter are ineffective at getting people to buy stuff. That with elons unhinged behavior and the occasional hit piece about an ad side by side with racism all makes it pretty silly to keep the ads running.
Haven't seen an ad by any of them in months. Most recent solid company was Microsoft but that was a while ago. It's mostly political(maga) ads or crypto with the occasional drop shipping product in between.
I saw a lot of big companies tried that a couple months ago. I haven't seen one of their ads since. I think they arnt coming back. Prolly terrible roi as well

I'm gonna talk to some of my Brazilian family members about it, from my understanding having an office in the country is the biggest thing. That's something very important to them for any international business. I'm not so sure about the misinformation and transparency part.
I get that but I feel like Twitter genuinely set itself up to get shut down. If Elon didn't personally want complete control and they still had an office in Brazil it wouldn't have happened like this.
