NS Liberals will table the Social Media Responsibility Act. If passed Bluesky will no longer be available in Nova Scotia. The platform would be required to prove all users are 16 years of age which it has refused to do in other areas.

Whether we’re talking trains or rapid transit, there are lessons here for NS (if anyone was listening or open-minded). When serving rural and low-density suburban areas, transit isn’t sustainable without steps to increase the catchment area.

The municipality can no longer progress meaningful and impactful changes. They can try working with the Province, yet still be overridden at the final hurdle. What's left that's safe from political interference? Collect trash, plow and maintain roads and approve the police budget without question.

It is one thing to have bad pavement when you can steer around it, but in a tightly constrained bike lane it is inexcusable. Going forward we’re going to have to raise a stink when they try this. It should not be a big deal to “shave and pave” before bollards go in.
