After JKRs horrid views came to light, I saw a lot of people come out with "Now we can admit HP always sucked!" and it just feels so...revisionist, like they were waiting for permission. I used to like HP, and it wasn't because my tastes sucked. It would be dishonest of me to claim otherwise.
