For the last 5 elections in this country, my major concern has been addressing inequality & inequity Because for a long time I've feared that growing inequality will lead to criminality, to acceptance of radical & dangerous ideology, & to creeping authoritarianism We've been let down, over & over

This is pre-emptive self-censorship motivated by cowardice, having observed other arts institutions being torn apart by the pro-Israel lobby's demands and wanting to avoid the risk altogether. The result is silence and the victims are everyone.
