You don't set the price of games. Bestbuy does. Bestbuy charges 100 after tax for new games. Not a lot of people want to spend that amount of money on a mediocre game.
Both of those games got 8s and 9s out of 10. Silent hill won multiple awards. I'm willing to spend money on a game that got good reviews and won awards.
7/10 is not something I'm gonna spend $100 cad on. Nobody wants to risk that money on a game they hear is mediocre at best when there were 10 other games with better reviews that they could be buying. Top that with the tacky identity politics and it's not surprising the game didn't sell much.

It was an awful game that put politics ahead of story telling and gameplay. The character designs were bad too. That whole non binary line was embarrassing and the fact the devs thought that line would land with their audience makes me think the devs don't understand their audience.
