Fans and Talent alike need to know that the (anime) convention atmosphere is going through another major shift - this time, one that pushes the cost onto *you*, the attendee. More and more larger events are beginning to adopt a model where they offer table space to industry vets at THEIR expenses.
The point of all this is NOT “make sure you support guests by buying autographs!”; it shouldn’t be your job anyway. Rather: if you feel like things have gotten more expensive, and that the interactions in general have begun to feel more transactional - they are, & there’s a corporate reason for it.
