Thanks. That’s one of the reasons I love travel and photography. Hopefully next overseas trip will be to Bali, where I’ve never been to but always loved the golden hour photos I’ve seen. Before that I’m thinking of moving out of the city to a small island due to overcrowding and congestion.

Traditionally we have a rainy season and a dry season. The dry season is from December to April. But it can vary slightly due to the unpredictability of the weather these days.

Hulhumalé, Maldives. Sunrise Golden Hour. Standing on the groyne at the end of Phase 1 next to the canal looking out to the sea and the rising sun. Most of the foreground are the rocks that make up the groyne. The rest is the lagoon lit up in sunlight and gold. Beyond it the reef in silhouette and the darker blue of the sea. From the horizon to the sun the sky and clouds are in tangerine. The sun is shielded behind a small cloud. The sky and clouds around it are in gold. Then slowly darkens to tangerine the further away from the sun it gets.
