Do you know what I find most infuriating about social media? We're two dudes who obviously both love SW, worked in comic shops at similar times presumably on different sides of the Atlantic (I'm UK), are familiar with figures, books etc..., and we're arguing over minutae? Like, when you posted...
Does that not make the 15 million copies sold even more surprising? That's an argument FOR the strength of feeling towards SW in 1991
I can't say more than I have. #1 on the New York Times bestseller list is WAY more mainstream and broad appeal than the toy aisle in WalMart/TRU. If you disagree, that's fine. I'm steadfast that POTF2 was a result of SW popularity, not the cause.

I love their entire aesthetic. It's the reason I collect these moreover than the Machine Robo license even.
Personally, I'm hoping for 100% Diaclone accurate Powered Convoy (Delta tends to have a gray body frame rather than silver) and with the stuff we've seen so far from ML like Cordon, I think that's what we'll get.
We've had Delta Magnus (or something very close) twice on the vintage mold (Diaclone, and reissue), we've never had toon colours.

Yeah, BBTS imported huge chunks of Sonokong around that time, Megastorm, Gigastorm, Black Convoy, Big Convoy, Auto Rollers. It was great.

I completely forgot to share G2 Overlord's tank mode. Not my favourite colours, but we followed the Negative colours and it worked well for the alt mode and purple parts. It's warmed on me over the years, stickers would finish it off
The best time to start being a G1 collector was 1984/1985. The second best time is now.

It's essentially the deluxe refresh of Battle Convoy for the Diaclone line, with extra playability and a super robot mode, so I don't think that's a controversial opinion

Typical Hasbro, they just used the same sticker sheets. I've changed out most of the logos on my G2 guys now
He's fine. There's a lot going on with him and Skyhammer, but they don't quite catch the imagination for me in the same way as the Micro Master or Action Master vehicles.

What can we expect from Missing Link Magnus? Restoration of Powered Buggy (potentially in blue like in the recent Generations comic), wheels back on the chest plate, returning Diaclone Drivers? Powered Buggy is the original partsformer, I don't expect that to change

It's close. The teaser trailer animation was also based on the Diaclone, but they kept the colours slightly different. That's also a bit nuanced for the wiki, you're better of with TFSquare One when it comes to Diaclone variants. This picture is early prototype
I'm all for reissuing stuff so everyone gets to enjoy a mold, but I think when somethings been sold as an exclusive like the Anime teaser version (Delta), they have a duty to keep that somewhat unique and limited.

I'm watching My Name is Earl on Disney Plus, they've switched out all of the expensive licensed music for generic incidental and much cheaper licensed music, but they haven't changed the subtitles, so the subs are playing "Bad to the Bone" but the music is just awful mush.
100% agree He gets a buy for being the first combiner in this style (proto-Brave as I always say), but the evolution of this with Exkaiser and Dragon Kaiser all having unique heads as he scaled up worked so much better. He should also have lion chest in super mode.
