It's 12 days until Memory and Magic is out there in the world, so here it is with a very bored goat.
In previous times the causes of autism was also blamed on mothers not being "warm enough" to form emotional attachments with. We will go to great lengths to blame mothers instead following the science... And for that matter, the world needs autistic people. They deserve to exist.
Have you seen the "Nanny Broaches" from the late 18th century? They are a delight in functional jewelry of the time, and very on theme with this collection.
Then you freeze the baguettes and they can pull them out as needed and reheat them. If you can't find that recipe on their site, their baguette recipe was used and you'd make 6 small instead of 3 large ones.
I used to make a bunch of frozen crockpot meals so they could take them out and cook at will (if they have a crockpot or instapot). If you really like baking I used to make stuffed baguettes from King Arthur Flour. I would fill them with pizza toppings, or meat and cheese, anything cooked.
If you want to know my brain level today I spent ages trying to figure out why my audio book wouldn't pair on my headphone... it was my volume being turned down.

For the 17th anniversary we watched the new superman from home with take out. My life is nothing if not exciting. Although I did take some pictures of my book at various places around the local fiber fest so my promo silliness might brighten up for a few days.

Welp I just processed 6 cups of zucchini for bread and brownies and ooof. We STILL have so much zucchini. Grilling some tonight as well. Plus I have declared tomato zero and cooked all of those down to freeze.
Barn day! It was another trail day so I ended up staying late... which has put me behind cleaning and baking. But I got to scritch Jorge, and many many other horses.

Operation clean entire house for company is almost to the halfway point. I'm down to kitchen and bathroom cleans and decluttering some small spots that become dumping grounds. Fun times.

Also, while the kittens have found new homes or fosterages, they have another dumped cat. A tabby tortoise gal who is chipped (owners don't want her back) and fixed. She'll need flea treatment but she is SUPER sweet and loving. If you are near Dayton and looking for a sweet cat.
No pictures, but I got to ride Jorge! We used the western saddle just in case I needed more support, but we were working on posting and 2 point positions for me. And it was lovely, although my legs are jelly and it took a sec to remember how to dismount. And I could use English rein style.
There was a squirrel on the porch this morning and Lily and Olive cats are intently keeping watch incase it comes back.

One day my black cat will learn not to lie taking up an entire stair on the dark basement staircase... but today was not that day. Cat and husband are both unharmed.

Today was barn day! The horses were on schedule, so already out in the fields by the time I got there, but I got to spend some time with the new ponies and find all the itchy places. And the kittens have been rehomed, 2 to a forever home and 3 to fostering. And next week, riding lessons!
The problem with warping the inkle loom after so long is not the learning curve and having to dress it twice, no it's that the cats have decided they need to fit inside all my warp threads and turn it into their personal toy... I'm looking straight at you Miss Olivia Twist.

Attempting to warp and inkle loom after several years of it lying fallow... And now I remember that dressing the loom, even for this is way more of a process then weaving the actual band. Mistakes were made. But correctable ones.

Update: we just received a statement from Macmillan/Tor taking full responsibility for failing to register copyright, promising to make us whole and pay us any settlement money we lost out on due to that error, and promising to find & correct the lapses that caused this. Every pub should do this.
