Thinking about this, even taking him at face value, I think it says a lot about what he, and others, think about trans women. Demonizing and denigrating trans women was pretty much his vector to accomplish this "guerrilla"... whatever it was. It shows our vulnerability and disposability.
Also you know there are detrans ppl outside the UK and USA? There's a word in my language for detransition that is not a loan word but means exactly that. Other people have thought of this before

As for compensation it is extremely disheartening to see it barely be even a topic in many countries and when it is the sum can be downright insulting compared the actual cost and the possible trauma and nothing for those who are gone.
In the same way the frequency of suicide and attempts is undercounted because some of us just die without being known or get denied our existence time and again the ramifications of such policies are way larger and very hard to quantify because many of the most severely affected are no longer here.
On top of that it ignores, not by malice but by simple lack of existing data, the many victims that suffered from the consequences of not being able to change their marker and fell further into social and financial instability and very likely costing lives.

We all deserve access to whatever sexed configuration we want and we shouldn't have to prove it to anyone.
Transness isn't a condition, transness isn't a harm, and access to transition care is a matter of bodily autonomy. People should be free to do kickflips while bouncing back and forth however many times they damn well please because that's the only solution that actually reduces the most harm.
Emma has broken this down very thoroughly in her essays, but if you can only read skeets for some reason: this is why the medical model of gatekeeping transition care based one's Real and Authentic and Acute Suffering is counterproductive and a rhetorical dead end.

I would broadly agree from my experience. I think there are grey areas where, especially in the moment, it can be difficult to draw a hard line between the two, given that dysmorphia can be strongly motivated by gendered distress. But in terms of long-term outcome, it tracks
