Yea, f welding on cast iron. I don't have the skill nor the patience to figure it out rn. Tired frustrated and cranky already 'n didn't want to admit how rusty I've gotten, redemption welds didn't help. 0.063" coupons, outside corner open root, in position.
Womp womp. Used a high nickel filler which would appear to have fused well with the cast metal, but I think inclusions from junk on the inside surface weakened it enough to let go =\ Grind it out and try again
Round 1 goes to the manifold. Couple of massive tinks before I could get it all welded and back in the oven. I know one of the cracks runs right down the middle of the first weld, but also shows a new branch to chase
