I’d never heard the US mixes before and was completely shocked. Just get the individual LPs they are cheaper and you don’t need the double the Beatles Story. Apparently the US version of Revolver is worth a listen too.

Now if you listen to the Beatles 1964 US Albums in mono it’s a complete revelation. All the early songs are just full of energy.
It’s just a poor album. I too got a copy of the mono reissue recently. And must say the Beatles come alive with a ‘hard days night’. Fall off a cliff with ‘for sale’ and are on the beach with Help before they take off with Rubber Soul and don’t look back.
