Horrifying on so many levels. Add to it that 8 doctors had already filed gender discrimination complaints in 2018 about one of the ER doctors responsible for this woman. This isnāt just about overcrowded ERs.
The dehumanization of Palestinians is monstrous. Also, rickets is a preventable and treatable bone disease caused by malnutrition, usually a deficiency of vitamin d, calcium, or phosphorus.

Agreed. The evidence base is insufficient & improvements in study quality, effect size, etc. are needed. And, patient interest in TCIH/CAM isnāt going away. Having worked in CHCs for over a decade, I believe that collaboration is better for patients, practitioners, & public health.
Ethics are why I have explicitly chosen not to profit off the sale of supplements in my naturopathic practice, but I am probably in the minority amongst NDs in Canada. In Ontario, NDs cannot mark-up the costs of lab tests. I donāt know about other jurisdictions.
