4, cont’d: I used white glue with this project, cause I was just gonna do this with stuff lying around.
4: assemble the headband. Pre-flex the cardboard along the corrugations to make it easier to shape and less prone to bending sharply at odd angles. It may do so anyway; don’t worry. We can always go back and reinforce it later (don’t do this just yet! We have work to do first!)
3: cut your pieces. If you have decorations like horns or studding, etc, keep in mind where you want these to go. I did not, and had to start over. A key thing to note when cutting holes in the headband is not to cut too close to the edge, which will make your hat prone to tearing.
2: find a reference. Focus on image clarity and how easy it is to see the individual pieces, not specific color or detail. You can always sort the color out later.
1: measure your head. This can be done with a tailors measuring tape or with string and a ruler. I advise adding an inch or two to your measurements, so you don’t wind up with this!
