-fin I used a different type of language here (simple, direct) because I wanted to explain borders as clear as possible. I hope I succeeded with this and have shown that to this day, Israel just takes whatever it wants and draws lines on maps wherever it wants but that does not make it real
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Then to conclude we come to: 2017–2020: Trump’s “Deal of the Century” & Annexation Talk which was just bs In 2020, Netanyahu announced plans to formally annex parts of Area C (West Bank) under Trump’s plan but that was cancelled as part of the Abraham Accords with UAE/Bahrain
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Pulling troops/settlers out of 1 of the many parts of the occupied territories of the land of Palestine does not mean that this is now some sort official border recognition. Gaza is not the state of Palestine, it is what is a part that is left of the State of Palestine
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
then we come to 2005 where Israeli like to say the phrase: "But we gave them back Gaza, we pulled out of Gaza." Which can be debated but there can only be stated that:
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Now and I can not state this enough: Oslo was a supposedly 5 year test plan, to see how things would go under Palestinian autonomy BUT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH BORDERS OR RECOGNITION OF 2 STATE SOLUTION
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Gaza - The Gaza–Jericho Agreement 1994 - had its own limited autonomy arrangements but remained heavily controlled by Israel. - Palestinian Authority got civil administration in most Palestinian-populated areas. Gaza under Oslo wasn’t 'free', it was carved up.
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Oslo II (1995) – Taba Agreement West Bank divided into Areas A, B, and C: A: Full Palestinian civil and security control (major cities). B: Palestinian civil control, Israeli security control (villages and rural areas). C: Full Israeli control (settlements, strategic land, borders, resources).
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
What happened in Oslo was an agreement of mutual recognition and a plan to create some sort of Palestinian Authority and Governance with issues like borders set at a later time postponed to later negotiations (planned for 1996–1999, but never happened, it all fell apart).
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Then we come to 1993 Oslo Accords This Was Not A Border Agreement, Also Not A Confirmation Of The 1967 Borders. Zionists like to use this as argument or language but to clarify: Arafat agreed to start talks. And Agreed that as a blueprint/framing for the start of these talks they could use
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
So essentially Israel looked at the world and said Fuck You All. The reaction caused was that an UNGA special meeting was held, 5 February 1982, to put sanctions on Israel, but like we discussed before. UNGA = debate club, no real power. So this was more symbolic and "the West" ignored it.
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Now we go back to this part where I explained that the UNSC were the ones who make things reality, this is important because:
Dr Sally (@drsally.bsky.social)
This was when I went to Israel
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
so for a clear image of the map we use this Image as it shows in Pink what was added to Israeli controlled territory by the end of the 1967 war
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
But Sneaky Israel, Actually does not Listen and return like discussed but occupies More Land with the emphasis on OCCUPIES because they again do not set borders. They Go OVER the 1949 Map and keep parts of Palestine, Like West Bank, East Jerusalem, Golan Heights
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Which turned the map into this: 1949 Armistice Agreements with sometimes referring to the "Green Line" which was Green Ink to draw a line on the map
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
but then in May 1948 they declared independence and that got the neighbors to a boiling point and attacked. Israel kicked their asses and took large chunks of the territory called Palestine. I wont go into details of the war because this is the part about borders
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
So Again To Be Clear: 1946 Palestine was still "official" how it was. This is what 1946 looked like
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
But we are here to talk Borders, Not details of local communities inside cities or outside In one of my other parts I already explained how the Zionist settlers were buying up land from the absentee landlords and made them "Jews Only" type of areas. It's important to note that this never stopped
Talk With Saul (@talkwithsaul.bsky.social) reposted reply parent
Our best Map to start is the following provided by Al Jazeera. As it is Simple&Clear. As you can see the blue dots are the more Jewish concentrated communities, so let us call it Jewish territory, although this is also not real because in big cities it was more intermingled with like Jewish Areas
