What is happening in Gaza is genocide. Those enabling it—lawmakers sending arms to Israel, officials giving it cover at the UN and international courts, the lobby groups demanding such support—aren’t just accomplices, but full participants in a crime against humanity. They must be held to account.

An Israeli plan “envisions at least a temporary relocation of all of Gaza’s more than 2 million population, either through what it calls ‘voluntary’ departures to another country or into restricted, secured zones inside the enclave during reconstruction” So ethnic cleansing and concentration camps.

From rationalizing the slaughter of children to sabotaging the enforcement of U.S. law prohibiting the supply of arms to countries restricting humanitarian aid, Jacob Lew’s role in enabling Israeli atrocities in Gaza should exclude him from any future position of trust—and, frankly, polite company.
Dylan Williams (@dylanwilliams.bsky.social)
There is no conceivable interpretation of the law of war in which a camera set up nearby legitimizes a mass casualty double tap strike on a protected civilian site like a hospital. The fact that Israel is citing it as if it meets some standard should, by itself, trigger a halt in weapons to Israel.
