Exactly. Saw this so so many times, even among my many liberal friends.
I'm glad others are talking about this now. As someone working in the LGBTQ movement, and seeing the obsessive attacks on transgender people, I've been frustrated at how the narrative of what "Dems did" doesn't match with what they actually did.
Louder for the people in the back. (The whole point is that the RW propaganda machine is REALLY LOUD.)

Harris's actual policy positions were popular, but very few voters knew what those were. Trump's mostly false statements about Harris were better circulated, and much better known. Good thread+article on this ⬇️

I will take this one step farther to say that the dead rob us, all of us who are alive. Especially the very obscenely rich dead. Their money is protected by law and it robs us of our freedom.
This is a real danger but to jamelle's point in this thread, folks often don't appreciate the scale of American elections: how many polling places, election workers, and decentralized redundancies, and how little of it is under any federal control. It far outstrips federal manpower in its vastness.
I would read a whole series of reports like this on each individual federal goon. They all deserve a profile.

It’s not just Trump; it’s the entire administration of elected and appointed Republicans. It’s so SO obvious.
Harris spent extraordinary amounts of time talking about how she would fix issues. That you could not hear it, and that you believe Democrats spent too much time talking about Trump, is evidence that few people could hear Harris above the din.

Third Way is a Democratic agency. I am criticizing Third Way's weakness.
I don't mean the parodying part. You're right about that. I mean the part where he doesn't accept as true anything Trump/GOP says. He's on offense all the time. Middling Dems might start following suit if they see success from Newsom.

This highlights an interesting data point that explains the last-minute deciders. I believe that misogyny (multiplied by racism in Harris' case) explains an embarrassingly large percentage of why voters (men AND women) chose Trump (twice!) over well-qualified women early.
Important information in this 🧵. If we don’t recognize the power that propaganda plays in our lives we cannot break this cycle of destruction by Republicans.

13. It didn’t matter because what she said, the substance of her message, wasn’t as important to the outcome of the election as the volume of it, which is to say, the substance of what she said was too quiet compared to the bullhorn-din of the media.

4. The determining factor was the ear-splitting volume of the accusations against Harris and the absence of equal and opposite accusations against him.
3. By focusing on things that Trump said she said, rather than on things she said, critics are missing the lesson from the 2024 election – that her policies were not the determining factor in her defeat.
2. So Democratic Party critics like Third Way are basing their criticism not on what Harris said but on what Trump said she said, as they are accepting as true the allegations of the Republicans against the Democrats.
