The bipartisan infrastructure law contained a provision to grow federal firefighters within the forest service. Also, FEMA has SAFER which helps fund grants for hiring and recruitment. She voted against both the infrastructure law and FEMA funding.

One of the things that makes me incredibly angry about the reconciliation bill Boebert voted for is it increases mortgage costs for the average family buying a home by $1,060 per year. Families are already struggling to buy and put down roots. This only makes it harder.

When people ask me if I ever intended to run for Congress, this is my answer: “Never in a million years.” But watching Lauren Boebert tell a group of Veterans that it’s not her job to keep them healthy?! That was the last straw for me.
House Republicans know their reconciliation bill will hurt Americans. 338 rural hospitals are at risk of closure from Medicaid cuts in the bill including Prowers Medical Center in Lamar. Coloradans should be GAINING access to care, not LOSING it! Lauren Boebert needs to get out of the way.

I had sacrificed so much more than I even knew. And it killed me. It still does.
Grabbing another slice, he had no idea that what he said next nearly broke my heart: “Yeah, we do this all the time.” Suddenly, I realized that there were all these little things – these new family traditions – that not only had I not been a part of, not only had I missed, but I had no idea existed.
Sitting at our kitchen table, surrounded by the six most important people to me in the world, I couldn’t help but feel an immense sense of gratitude to finally all be together again, just enjoying a simple meal. “Wow,” I told my husband. “This was a great idea.”
After I finally returned home to Colorado, we were driving back from church one day when my husband, Chris, suggested we stop and get two of those $5 pizzas from Little Caesar’s.
I missed one of everything while I was deployed: One of every birthday, one of every holiday. Recitals and soccer games. I knew what I had signed up for, but I still missed my husband. I missed our five kids even more.
Whenever someone asks me what the hardest part of being deployed to Afghanistan was, I tell them: “Little Caesar’s Hot-N-Ready pizza.”
