Absolutely this. A National Curriculum not fit for the 21st C, an over-emphasis on targets, insufficient funding for everything including experienced staff and SEND support, removal of Sure Start, 4.5million kids in poverty, etc.
It’s clear that REFUK put quantity over quality.
Hopefully the Archbishop will become as outspoken on such matters as his predecessor, John Sentamu.
I cannot understand the vitriol after this. Having listened to it he prefaced it with things like “it feels like” and did point out the value of immigrants to services like the NHS. I don’t agree with him but cannot understand the pile on. They should correct any mistruths in real time though.

The five year olds who are now unvaccinated were born at a time of medical chaos. Many will be unvaccinated because lockdowns, etc cut health visitor involvement, reduced access to GPs, isolated new parents, etc. Many parents are struggling to make ends meet so taking time off is hard. 1/2

Many councils operate in this way with sub-committees making decisions which are then, often belatedly, put before scrutiny committees. Sadly, this speeding up process only works when councillors put the needs of the area first.
