It's not just him, though: Harris took a pretty soft stance on trans rights. And after such a demoralizing defeat like the Dems suffered in 2024, their first instinct will inevitably be to abandon any platforms that seem too "liberal" to win swing state voters and appease their donors.
If any more Democrats suddenly develop a spine and actually do something of substance to prove that they don't only care about their voters during campaign season, I will be happy to vote for them, but I think we all know that after a defeat like this, they're going further right. On everything.
