I trimmed the Graham Thomas roses as well as the smoke bush. I think they go well together.π±

Lovely! Was that a fish biting at the end of the video?

Took a walk around the garden. I found a few things blooming, despite the heat wave.π±
Emily Strapagiel (@emilystrapagiel.bsky.social)
I have no garden photos to share, as my flowers are fried from the current heat wave. Here is a throwback photo of a little visitor from 2023.π±

Love the fence! Right at the end of the video, when you reopened the paint jar, I caught myself pointing at my computer screen and saying "you missed a spot right there"!π

Oh, my! When I first saw these. I thought they were real. Look at the sheen on the icing! Your daughter is incredibly talented.

I have a rather large patch in my back yard. They make a great cut flower on their own, or as a filler flower when they first emerge. This picture was taken last Fall.π±

These are the baby Annabelle hydrangeas. They become huge white mopheads as summer progresses.

Pretty little pink tulips, and a photo of the first snowdrops to appear in my garden. Happy Spring Equinox, everyone! π±

Thanks for the replies. I also thought it as a great horned owl; never heard of one in Toronto, though. Google informed me that they are very common in Toronto; who knew? Beautiful bird; it really spooked our cat.
Emily Strapagiel (@emilystrapagiel.bsky.social)
Can anyone tell me what type of owl this is? This beauty hanging out in my back yard yesterday.π¦

Thank you! The stems are cut at the same length; the curvature of the vase allows the tulips to bend to their natural shape.

At this time of year, my love buys me tulips weekly so that I can have flowers until my garden blooms again in spring. I will share a photo of each bouquet for those who need cheering up during these dark days. #gardeningπ±

I'll never forget the stone painting that you did of a fox in starlight, with the aurora borealis. It was during covid; I can't describe the feeling of peace and calm that I experienced, seeing it for the first time. It will always be my favourite piece of art.
