But yes, we've seen a major rollback in gender dynamics.
We saw a snapback towards feminism in the 1990s with the Year of the Woman (largely triggered by Anita Hill's testimony) and then again in the early 2010s when you had Beyonce putting up a "Feminist" logo behind her and all those "Future is Female" shirts.
In the same way you saw white people get rid of public pools just to avoid swimming with Black people, it's fairly clear that women's sports are being degraded as a sacrifice for targeting trans athletes in sports.
The 1970s brought a backlash to civil rights. The 1980s brought a backlash to feminism. Anytime you read about transgender rights being rolled back, it's pretty easy to see how transgender people are squarely in the "fill the pool with concrete" phase. www.marketplace.org/story/2021/0...

I visited PLENTY of cities during last year’s campaign trail. Easily the GOATED ones were Milwaukee, Atlanta, Phoenix and Chicago.
I visited Chicago in 2023 for a friend’s birthday, for the DNC last year and again for a getaway trip earlier this year. I enjoyed myself all three times. Are there rough areas? Sure. But it’s improved massively in recent years.

The ultimate irony? Some of the best parents of autistic kids are devout Christians who believe God made their kids autistic for a reason. It's why you occasionally used to see progressive disability rights activists team up with Christians opposed to abortion (though that's changed recently).
If there is one defining trait that drove evangelicals into the arms of Trump, it was a feeling that the business Republicans used them. Business Republicans got tax cuts under Reagan and George W. Bush, but abortion wasn't banned and gay marriage became the law of the land.
Ironically, Trump has put Modi in the biggest crisis of his premiership and Indian media is beating up Modi these days.
The Modi thing is just an elaborate self-own, particularly because Trump continued the trend of fostering closer ties with India that has been going on since Bill Clinton. But between tariffs and Trump bear-hugging Pakistan, Modi has moved closer to China.

The way I see it -Walz, Beshear and Pritzker would vye for labor's support (Beshear probably needs it the most). -Pritzker, Moore and Whitmer probably compete for Black voters. If Ossoff runs, he has an advantage as a Southerner. -Newsom, Whitmer and Moore compete for suburbanites.
