I’m a NASCAR fan who also believes speed limits in cities should be lower and all vehicles should come with auto braking and passive or active intelligent speed assistance. I’m also an AV advocate.
Did you know that in a conventionally designed truck drivers cannot see for 10-15 feet in front of them? This can cause collisions with pedestrians and tragedy. In London the Direct Vision Standard requires that trucks are shaped so that drivers can see all around the truck which saves lives.
