This is pretty much like when the animation community said that Coco looks like a rip off of the book of life it’s not it’s been in development for years even before the book of life. It really showed that the animation community doesn’t know how to be pacific about things

Possible hot take, but I think that lots of online hate is entirely performative. It's probably more likely that the person simply doesn't give a shit about it, but they hate the thing because the algorithm tells them it'll get them likes and because they think it'll make them popular.

Another thing I hate about the chuds is how genuine fans who do have good faith criticism are lumped in with them and get called MAGA even though there was nothing bigoted about their criticism. Chuds really did ruin online criticism.
Bad faith criticism is a scourge that needs to be continually called out. However, calling out bad faith criticism doesn't mean that ALL criticism is bad or that we should dismiss good faith criticism, especially about something we love.

To be honest, watching Indie animation is going to do absolutely nothing honestly whenever any animation fan says go indie. It makes me cringe so hard honestly it’s going to do nothing to solve anything
The chuds don't care about fandoms outside of childhood nostalgia and simply use them as a means for their grift and to push their bigotry and grievances. It was never about good faith criticism or being fans, because they're not critics or fans.
You can always tell who the grifters and culture war tourists are. They're fake fans with zero media literacy skills and you can tell that their "criticisms" are recycled talking points they heard about the game, movie, or show the algorithm told to be outraged about.
