5/So the wonder I'm experiencing of everyday life in the #city is the opposite of who we have built our #transit system for. A system built for #work is not a system that supports #life. Humbling to be in a position to incite change on a topic and #community I care deeply about.
4/ I'm simultaneously in awe that this is my life and enamored with the simplicity of fulfillment that comes from being in service of others. Most of that wandering occurred during what is considered off-peak hours.
3/ I've been talking to #bus #drivers on their walk to the depot, unhoused neighbors enjoying an afternoon in Battery Park, first time visitors waiting for the #ferry to the @StatueEllisNPS, construction workers on the @NYCTSubway platform headed to Brooklyn.
2/ I appreciate this piece by @awalkerinLA @Curbed exploring the realities of responding to how people want to use #transit vs how we have traditionally provided service. So much to work on in our collective development to make our industry better.

Moving tip: don’t take your clothes off the hangers. Pack them in the box flat in bunches and rotate the hangers so they don’t add bulk. You add a few extra boxes for clothes but it is much less time consuming both packing and unpacking

In October we wear pink. At the Dr’s office. While getting a mammogram. To fulfill a promise to my friend Mel to reschedule when I skipped it in March. Because she fought as hard as she could but cancer is a jerk and she’s no longer here to give me attitude about putting it off.
