Not easy to distinguish the disingenuous from those simply steeped in a partisan media ecosystem with distinct facts, arguments, framing. People have track records but I don’t have the energy... It’s true we’re all mostly talking past each other, but breaking through takes more than sharing a room.
Some people can pull it off in this environment. You really have to be aware of perceptions and tone in real time and think on your feet to keep from getting derailed. It’s definitely easier with sincere participants willing to listen and discuss rather than attack, troll, move goalposts.

Been on one murder trial as a juror. It was insanely stressful. Asserting narratives based on limited information in high profile cases is no longer fun.
Not making any assertions myself either and don’t need to put him in a bin. Kind of a silly game to make up a story where his actions define a mainstream political group. Shooters are individuals, often with diverse, bizarre, dumb, complex, narcissistic, random motivations.
People still believe American muslims danced in the street on 9-11. The President is one of them.
