Seeing Oasis for the first time since 2005 (my first show was in 1997). Also, first time visiting the Rose Bowl. Going both nights after picking up a cheaper seat for night 1 the other day. Night 1 area is the green dot, red for night 2. This will be, as they say, biblical.

The economy is worsening and this is the collective reaction from Trump, the White House, and MAGA.
This is an extraordinary article in many ways. But: 1) “it left unarmed North Koreans dead” is a polite way of phrasing “SEALS killed them.” 2) It isn’t until paragraph 59 that the NYT tells us the people the seals killed were civilians. They were fishing, and America killed them.
This story is WILD. Trump sent Seal Team 6 into North Korea to plant a listening device. The entire thing went sideways within minutes of landing when they noticed a fishing boat near the beach. They killed everyone on board, sunk the bodies to cover their tracks, and fled. Congress was never told.
NYT reveals a classified operation by SEAL Team 6, greenlit by President Trump in 2019, that left unarmed North Koreans dead. Key members of Congress who oversee intelligence operations were not notified before or after the mission.

Ask yourself a simple question: Why would the White House deem the release of the Epstein Files a "hostile act?" What exactly are they trying to hide? Of course we know the answer to that already. And we know the files were not made up all along.

I don't care if you think it's fine to blow up alleged drug runners in the open seas. It's not legal, and it ignores - as Trump and his administration often try to - due process. Stop them. Arrest them. Charge them if there's proof. Destroying them is straight up murder.
If you have to force anyone, much less children, to take part in your religion, frankly, there's something wrong with you and your religion.
MAGA is all about blind devotion to Trump above all. It remains one of the most insane things America has ever had to deal with, and at the rate it's going it'll be decades before we're free of the rot it's caused. That said, I hope Trump is experiencing the health he deserves.
We've never seen the Presidency turned into the moneymaking grift Trump's taken it to. MAGA/TRUMP this, MAGA/TRUMP that. He wears his tacky fucking hats to press conferences, for crying out loud. "TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!" Spare me the bullshit.
People certainly rallied behind Obama when he won in 2008 and he had his own flaws (like all do), but there's no question his victory was historical. Still, most people didn't tie their very existence to Obama. Their day-to-day lives weren't run by how devoted they were to him.
The MAGA cult has tied their entire identity and collective personality to worshiping Trump like he's some sort of god. That and they just want to make life worse for liberals and anyone else not like them. There's definitely white nationalism for many of them.
Whatever the case, we can see how both Republicans and Democrats have tried to cover for or protect their guy when their health issues have come up. One small difference: MAGA's always tried to prop their guy up as some specimen of strength and power, which Trump has never been.
It's pretty obvious that Trump is in bad shape and has been for an extended period. He doesn't speak clearly or well, and he's more erratic than ever. Still nasty, too. There's probably stuff going on with him that was likely going on with Biden as well in some form or another.
Trump can write and sign every executive order he wants in an attempt to alter how elections are run, but he simply does not have the power to do such a thing. States can have mail-in ballots if they want and nothing he can do on his own changes that.

Lest anyone potentially misunderstand who doesn't know me, no, I 100% do not support slavery in any form. It is a stain on American history. I also don't support political internment of people. But it's something each person, from childhood on up, needs to be taught about.
Trump and MAGA seems to have a problem with America recognizing any part of its past that isn't glowingly positive. One might wonder why that is as many of them push a white nationalist attitude that marginalizes and lessens everyone else. One might just wonder.
I'm white. Knowing America's past regarding slavery doesn't make me feel shame. Why should it? I wasn't around for it. I had nothing to do with it. It's still important for us as a country to be aware of it, to know about it. Same with Japanese-American internment around WW2.
If you want to put back statues and memorials and names of Confederate traitors while tearing down museum exhibitions on slavery because they don't show the greatness of the nation... the nation whose history you're celebrating is whiteness. The kind of nationalist you are is a white nationalist.

Vote-by-mail is not going away, no matter what Trump tries to do.
And really, unaffiliated voters make up more than either Democrats or Republicans. It's just that Oregon's unaffiliated voters sway blue enough that with the built-in advantage of having more blue voters than red, it combines to see election results that are usually solidly blue.
One of Oregon Republicans' biggest mistakes is discounting the amount of voters in Oregon who are listed as unaffiliated. They make up MORE in the state than Republicans do. Based on results, the districts are working properly. They just need to get more people to vote Republican.
The simple fact is based on population density and which way most people vote in the state, especially in those denser areas, Republicans haven't earned more congressional districts in their favor.
Those counties carry elections statewide, and that doesn't even touch on a few of the others like Lane, which was strongly blue. Among the most populous counties, those over 100k voters, 5 of the 7 went for Harris over Trump and the 2 that didn't were still close. Marion flipped back to Trump.
Combined, those three counties make up about 42.5% of the state's registered voters. Of that, 40.7% is registered Democrat, 36.0% registered Unaffiliated, 16.5% registered Republican.
Multnomah is 49.1% Democrat, 34.6% Unaffiliated, 9.7% Republican Washington is 39.5% Unaffiliated, 35.7% Democrat, 18.4% Republican Clackamas is 34.3% Unaffiliated, 32.0% Democrat, 26.2% Republican
Multnomah County has the largest population in the state, followed by Washington and Clackamas. Guess where each of those are located. Now go add up the total population of District 2. There's a reason it takes up so much land but has so few people distributed across it.
I see people complain that Oregon Republicans are also getting screwed over because they only have one Congressional District they can win, District 2. It's no coincidence it's the largest district in Oregon by land mass, but it's also the least populated overall.
How about Washington? About 52% registered Democrat, 28% Republican, 20% unaffiliated. The Pacific Coast states are in no real danger of going red, and MAGA can't stand it.
MAGA also likes to claim California would be a red state if not for...well, I don't even know on that one, because MAGA is dumb as fuck. California is about 45% registered Democrat, about 25% registered Republican, and about 23% unaffiliated. Nothing there is turning CA red.
Oregon being a primarily blue state has nothing to do with mail-in voting. It's because the breakdown of party affiliation (and which way unaffiliated voters tend to go) doesn't favor Republicans. Learn something for once, MAGA.

Anyway, this is all to say - that comics is a team sport and many of those in our community are trans. So we gotta stand up for those most vulnerable in our community and make sure this shit isn't tolerated in the slightest.
I believe editors there were doing their best under a hostile environment. And mind you this was 7 years ago and my project happened in the middle of a huge turnover at the publisher (that has many huge turnovers) but the problem person is still there.
I won't repost the garbage panels but I will say that Valiant was easily the worst comic book publisher I've ever worked with. They treated me like absolute garbage and tried to break my spirit at every turn. IMO - the higher-up leadership is rotten to the core.

It's actually not. This method just hides it. If you go to about:config and search browser.ml.chat.enabled the value will still show "true" meaning it's on even though you can't see it. Change that to "false". *Then* it's off.
