They decided to re-edit these as two TV movies, ๐พ๐ค๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ and ๐๐๐. When ๐พ๐๐๐๐ got disappointing ratings, ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐ was scrapped. THEN in a last-ditch attempt to salvage something out of the production, the four completed eps were used as a cheap summer series in 1986. Wow!!

The new Dalton was a flashback-prone Vietnam vet who drifted across the country in a camper van with his German Shepherd, Wichita, helping people with his unique fighting skills. Based on great Sunday night movie numbers, they ordered a 6-ep series. Production problems had them stop filming after 4.

I mean a secret meeting engineered by Jack Valenti after it had been unanimously given an R twice by the CARA board. It was imparted to ratings chief Richard Heffner that Poltergeist would be given a PG after MGM appealed the R. Have you not come across this in your research?

Like all copycats, ๐๐ข๐ฑ๐ต๐ข๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐ช๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฐ was adapted into a comic book...but instead of Don Hastings, a young Bruce Porter was used as the photomodel for the Video Ranger. His son Todd became one of the ๐๐๐๐ฏ ๐๐๐๐จ in that 80s TV classic.
